Summer Allergens

Summer time is the usual pollination period for GRASSES. The most common grasses in Northern Arizona are:

  • Bermuda
  • Giant Rye
  • Italian Rye
  • Johnson
  • Kentucky Blue
  • Orchard
  • Timothy
  • Western Wheat

Animal dander is a perennial allergen (year round) and patients could have allergic issues. Most common animals in this region are:

  • Bird
  • Cat
  • Cattle
  • Dog
  • Goat
  • Gerbil
  • Hamster
  • Horse
  • Rabbit
  • Rat

While dust mites are not normally found in Northern Arizona, we do offer testing, as many patients travel between Flagstaff and other regions.

Mold spores can be present year round as well; however, are more prominent during rainy or windy seasons- such as monsoon season.
